ok Dad's surgery was at 7 am, the docs ended up taking the lower and mid lobes of his lung. Surgery took 3 hours longer than anticipated, had a few complications due to some scar tissues that formed.

Waiting was the worst thing, not knowing what was going on, there were a couple of emergencies at the same time.............so no one to keep up informed on how things were going. Finally got word at 2 pm that he was out of surgery.


He is breathing on his own with oxygen, he's got a lot of pain though and is very stiff.

We will know in 3 days if they got everything or not.........they need to wait for swelling to go down to be sure first.

damn, glad to hear it was a success

well he's ok we won't know if it was a success for a few days yet
