Topic: Dividend stocks under 42 cents? | |
---|---|
Anybody know of any dividend stocks that are around .42 cents or less? I only have $7.42 to trade, but the commissions are $7 a trade, so I can invest in a stock that is .42 or less. I don't want to invest anymore right now, I do plan on investing another $500 shortly, but I'm looking for something right now.

And stuffing it under your matress is the worst way to save money. |

It's a better investment to buy 7 lottery tickets than it is to invest 42 cents in the market.
Lottery tickets have a 50% vig in favor of the state. Still that means you're getting $3.50 value verses 42 cents value. If you buy 7 scratch off tickets you'll on average end up with $3 and some change. That's far more than you can expect your 42 cents to make in the market. Especially considering the risky stock you would have to buy in order to find one for 42 cents. |
