Grandpa left me his 53 gibson lap steel and his collection of slides and fingerpicks. It was tough for me when he was gone. I could only look at it. Couldn't play it. I'd get to missing so much I'd just cry. One day some freinds that all play in hard rock bands and I got together and put the word out that we were gonna play together one night only as a group at a club. Boy did we surprise the crowd. They showed up thinking they were gonna see a kick ass rock band. We showed up with acoustic guitars, mandolins, mando cellos, violins, lap steels, and accordion. Had a brush snare too. We played old time, concertina, and polka music. At first the crowd was REALLY REALLY REALLY confused. But then we started playing it heavy like a rock band and everyone got the joke and got into it. I think my grandpa would have thought it was funny. I'm probably the only guy who ever played a lap steel through 2 full marshall stacks on stage with full distortion. And yes we did a metal version of beer barrel polka that I could barely play cuz peter was screaming it like rob halford of judas priest and I was laughing my ass off.

Gypsy has lots of nice tops. And bottoms. I just wanna wear my sweats today,,, Im sooooooooo lazy!!! 1 day off and then I work for someone else tomorrow and then saturday off and then 3 days. I think everyone needs a sweat pant day!!!

Gypsy is fabulous! I dont feel fabulous! I feel tired.......and I have so much too do and I dont feel like even getting dressed. And apparantly my cat doesnt either because he just parked himself on my lap!!!

Cats know how you feel. Yeah I'm digging doing the spring cleaning thing on weekends and just powerlounging around the house and getting things done around there. I've actually impressed myself with what I've accomplished so far.

Once I get everything organized and get rid of the junk I will be happier. And more time to ride this summer instead of cleaning out heater vents and tripping over junk.
