Just curious here. Is there anyone else who experiences this? Whenever I take Vicodin, or any other pain medicine like it, it doesn't take effect until after I get sick... Does anyone know why this happens?

I would guess that you're either taking it on an empty stomach or the prescription is too strong. I can't take Vicodin at all...it ALWAYS makes me sick.

Narcotics often cause nausea. The drug passes through the stomach and is absorbed in the intestine so it is normal that you would feel nausea first.

Thanks for the input y'all. I think I'm going to try to get some much needed sleep. I haven't slept I got burned Monday night. That's why I'm on pain meds.
