Sauntering thoughts
Rushing to and fro
Hoofs upon my head
Counting deer all in a row

Wishing just to sleep
As my mind rushes to you
Counting cute little deer
Jumping a fence two by two

Try now as I might
To forget this love of mine
I'm caught like deer in the headlights
In this foggy world I find

Not sure which way to jump
Never sure which way to bend
Try as hard as I might
I just can not pretend

The love I hold is real
One sided but still true

for just a moment our hearts were like fine glass
eclectic and in sync

the winds followed only us
to guide our way

your pain was my pain
and recipicated

your laughter it kept me enthralled
sounds of ecstasy within me stirred
just by your voice upon my ear

your touch I could not forget
your smile made me beam
your grace was divine
and love overflowed

I followed this road
along your side
not one step ahead
nor behind

we shared a dance
our dreams we embraced
a legacy of wisdom
did I ever embrace

you sang like a sonnet
deep in my head
and hear I am
