Watch out for the Chupa Cabre'!

There's the city of San Juan, which is where most of the tourists go. It's also got a restaurant that claims to be the birthplace of the Pina Colada, which they serve up by the vat-full.

Other than that, go on the Travel Channel website and look up "Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations"- he did a whole show on PR a couple of years ago that you might find helpful. Please note that the show is what you'd call rather "anti-tourist", meaning he does stuff that most tourists either never get to do, or never WANT to get to do.
