When I flipped my thread it became 2 new threads. How do I delete one?

I had the same problem When I was posting in the Travel places section . When I listed my favs and clicked on post the screen when blank, So I back spaced and clicked post and this time the screen went black. Since I never had this happen to me before, I was not sure what was happening, I decided to scroll down to the forum where my post should be, I was surprized to see 3 of them. I was unable to delete the post, but was able to delete words in one post and say I was sorry for the multy post. and explained the weird way it happened. I like to know if there is way to delete the complete 2 post and just leave my original which has the green smiley face at end of post. Thank you.
