Topic: ipod issue. | |
---|---|
i have had this issue before with a different ipod,
but the usual cures are not doing the trick. it seems to be skipping a few songs. it's always the same ones, and no matter how many times i restart the ipod, or update the software, it doesn't seem to work. help? |

First thing I would *try* is reload those particular songs. Delete them
from the ipod, then download them again. (Unless you already did that, when you 'updated the software'?) |

you may have to reload the songs
the files may be corrupted see if the version of the song will play on your computer version of i tunes if does mark the automatic update box manual update should also work then plug i pod in should reload music recheck i pod version of song it should now work if does not work on computer i tunes then need to reload song on computer and then follow the appove steps |

i've done all that.
they play fine on the computer. |

did you plug in ipod and set up to update i pod
this will reload music on ipod then they should play some ipod files may be corrupted |
|
|
|
Did you try troubleshooting it?
|
|
|
|
yeah.
freaking apple charges fifty dollars so they can tell me how to fix it. |

My first thought was the same as adj - corrupted files. I don't know
anything about how apple's software works - is it possible the ipod software is deliberately skipping the songs due to a licensing issue? Can anyone tell us how to rule out this possibility? |

its very possible that the licensing might be causing this problem
although, usually itunes wont transfer the song if the licensing is bad. You may need to repurchase the songs. |
