when someone says Hi: to you; do you say Hi back? Or, do you grunt? or, do you ignore the person? or, do you knod your head? or, do you give them a rasberry? or,do you say something else?glassesshades

Normally smile at them and say "hello", but try to be the first to greet flowerforyou flowerforyou

Why not say hi back? Being rude just to be rude, seems like a waste of energy to me.

Usually if I am passing people and we make eye contact, I will say hi... also if anyone says hi to me first... I always respond. It is only polite to respond when spoken to in a friendly manner... regardless of who they are, or what they look like.

flowerforyou YES!

lol, I say hello mostly, on returning someone's Hi...

And I ALWAYS say 'Thank You' for a door that is opened for me, like a gas station, restaurant, in public, by a stranger...

Depends on my mood at the time. But "grunt" would be my default greeting.
