My ex knows better than to call asking me for bail money. I'd go put money on another inmates commisary account as an "incentive" to show my ex a good time

Well, let's see.....what did I do?
After work one night, I got a phone call from a friend asking what happened to my ex that he was on the local news channel......it was really late so I couldn't call her back. I called his wife instead...she kept making excuses like he was sick because she didn't know I heard about him being on the news. She finally told me he was arrested and could I help pay his bail, I told her no way. His arrest was even broadcast on the radio the next morning when I went in to work.....so after the fifth person asked if that was him, I got on the PA and said... "Yes that was my ex-a$$hole and if anyone wants to pay his bail, I told him I couldn't do it!!"

I would laugh until tears streamed down my face and probably pee my pants a little bit. Then I would hang up and go get his booking information, look him up on the court docket, and e-mail it to all my friends and family. Then I'd get a bottle of champagne and toast to his comeuppance. I'd then take a personal day for the scheduled court date so I can be there, front and center. |

That depends which ex it was.
For #1 I would just ask her why she called me, and if she had literally nobody else I'd consider it. But #2 would be more trouble than she's worth and would probably skip town so I'd refuse. |

... agreed, that does depend on which Ex; my former wife ~ sure, absolutely, no questions asked. Our relationship ended, but that doesn't change the fact that she's a wonderful person. Now, the ex-girlfriend that crushed my heart into miniscule pieces ~ I would contemplate it heavily, have a little chit chat with her, but yeah, I'd probably still do it; that she was a heinous wench to me doesn't mean I have to lower myself to her ****ty level. I think I've always the 'go to' guy that everyone can depend on, driving someone home, bailing people out of jail, protecting a buddy who picked a fight with the wrong guy.
