Was it really love before fifty, since most of us are divorced or seperated as for was it really love. well there are also several people on here who are widowed. i thought it was love for most of my 25 yrs of marriage. although i think love for me on this side of a divorce will look a bit different. |

Yes, I believe it was love. Even though you really try, and I did, for 20 years, it just cannot be mended.
Even after divorce and then death, I still love him. I just could not like him and the self destructive behaviors that he couln't stop. Glad I had that unconditional love. Its great not too have to wonder "if" that person loves you. Many, at various ages, go into relationships thinking that "oh well, I can always get out. Wishing for love across the big pond! |

i'll be 58 in april still i have'nt found any one that i'm compatible with. i wish everyone luck and if it's out there for us over 50 we'll find it.
