Rabbit
Wash your old bones away I’m planting a new verse I had nothing to say But it could be worse I could’ve had a V-D Or maybe won the lottery Maybe I’ll stick to poetry Though there is no money I still think it’s funny How I plow through words And find a hidden meaning No matter how absurd Tonight my brain is teasing The hell out of me I had a good thought Just a few seconds ago If I don’t find it Just skip to the end You’re bound to find Alice She is soothing the rabbit But he changed his direction Now she can’t keep up Her torch is going out But the flowers are lovely Sitting, she breathes perfume deep And wonders why her sister Hasn’t come looking for her The caterpillar has a game But Alice doesn’t like it Forgetting where she came from Alice buys herself a bong And what her sister finds Is Alice and the Queen Knocking over cards for fun Sweet Alice changed directions And the Rabbit knew it For you see, the Rabbit Is only loyal to the Queen By Veronica Garcia from "The Pathos Collection" |
