Hi .... Has anyone been in thier 40's and had a baby? I did ... I now have a 21 yr old daughter, 18 year old son and a 14 month old son. Did I think I was crazy? Yup, do I have regrets? Nope, one of the best decisions I made. With my new lil man, I am more relaxed, not striving to keep up with other babies/people and able to enjoy him more, or at least so it seems.
Would you ever consider having a baby in your 40's?

I think it's awesome. I thought about it. I have an elementary school aged child.

I have considered it... since I refuse to have another child and not be married. And it will take me another 8 years or so to be completed with my educational goals. That would put me in my late 30's. So its a possiblity. I want at least one more child.

My aunt was convinced all her life she didn't want kids, didn't want to be tied down. But as time went on, she just felt like something was missing in her life, my cousin was born when she was in her early 40's. She doesn't regret her decision one bit.

Hon I had a baby when I was 17 and my last 2 when I was 42 and 43. 5 children in all.

I never regretted any one of them.

In fact it was far easier to be a mature mom with my last 4. My first, thank God, survived the crisis. LOl

I have actually, if I met a man who wanted to have a child. I am not yet 40, but only 2 years away, and by the time I find someone and got married again, it could well be over 40. I have 3 girls ages 18, 14 and 10 years old.

We have several couples in our church that tried to have a baby for 13 to 15 years and couldn't. We had some people start praying for them and it wasn't long and one couple got pregnant and then the other. They were both over 40 and have beautiful baby boys.

My hopes for that were dashed in my last marriage. It's not like we didn't try, hell we read the manual, but nada.
