You'll need newspaper ads, maybe craigslist under childcare, we also have something here called cheapcycle where people post items for sale and if they are a childcare provider they list their services.

It takes time, but everything will work out okay. I've been raising my son on my own now for over 5 years. Juggling a full time job, finding daycare for him and dealing with his doctors-teachers-therapists isn't easy. My son is harder to find childcare for because he is severely delayed developmentally, but I wound up having my neighbor come get him off the bus. Alot of people won't even consider caring for my son since he cannot walk or talk yet and at 9 yrs old isn't potty trained due to the genetic disorder he was born with. It makes it challenging and no one wants to make the effort to work with him. The other thing you can try is call some local schools and churches and see if they have anyone local willing to do childcare. Also, the department of welfare in your area and the local intermediate unit usually have lists of people who are offering childcare.

thank you for the info.my friend has a son with lots of problems like you talk about to. he is 9. so i know some what how you feel.all we can do is try are best and that is what any good mom or dad can do.i love my child and i will fight to the end for her. she knows i do and will for life.but at what age do i say to her honey what do you want. she already says she wants me full time and for the last 4 years i have been in court 4 time over it. it costed me 6000 to keep her so far in court cost. money does not mean nothing to me. yea i need it to eat. but in the end you dont take it with you. i go for enjoying life.and living life. life is to short. one must pick their fights in life and stand up and never back down. well i must go to my job now. but soon my shift will end. life is all about change.flowerforyou

I think the fact that you have your Mom to turn to for help is awesome. Who better to trust then your Mom? If it's not too much of a hardship on her, I would stick with that.

And if you have to put her in a daycare during the day shift, remember she's in school so she would only be there possibly 2 to 3 hours a day.

i love my mom and dad.they come through for me and my child. like i say i will get home from work at 6 am take a shower go to my moms wake up my daughter bring her to school. then go home and sleep get up 6 hours later to get her at school stay at my house tell it is time to go to my moms house for her to go to bed. tuck her in and lay their tell she falls asleep . then go home to pack my lunch and go to work for 10. what i don't like is having to tell my daughter.somethings are hard to tell them. kids are better with change then us.so i will only get 6 hours a sleep.en less i let my mom and dad pick her up from school. life will go on. they say change is good. well i dont know.scared
