If you do NOT have sexual fantasies about someone you are involved with, do you think that indicates that you are or are not in love with them?

Or to put it another way, if you feel you are in love with someone yet do not have sexual fantasies involving them, could that indicate that what you feel is not necessarily love?

This came up in a chat (on another site) and the reasoning used (for both spectrum ends) was questionable IMHO. Personally I do not have an opinion as yet. Look forward to the discussion.

You got it totally backwards... if your having sexual fantacies about a woman, you do not love her, trust me...
If you truely love someone, you'll always be thinkin about goin place's and doin things with them, not having sex.
I've never made love to a woman before. If you know whats goin on, and your thinkin about it, it ain't making love, your just having sex. I think making love starts with a touch, maybe a kiss, then the next thing you know, your holding each other tight, both totally out of breath and dripping with sweat, and 6 hours have passed that you can't account for smokin

I think it depends on the person's personality.

Now would I want to be with someone who claims to love me, yet doesn't fantasize about me. Probably not. Would it be wrong to occassionally fantasize about another while in love with someone else? Yes that's normal.

Does having a fantasy about someone indicate being in love or loving them? I would hope not, or all the people that indulge in pornography would be in love with a lot of different people!
