Hi all!! I have to say I'm getting a little discouraged lately about
this whole on-line dating thing. Am I the only one who feels this
way?????????????

Give it time...While your giving it time you can make alot of great
friends here.

Well, thanks to all for the replies, and I've always had alot of
patience, but I guess lately it's just wearing a little thin.....I'm
sure some of you can relate.....And, I do contact others and have met a
few nice people on here. So, that's a plus.....

Considering I was dumped here by a guy I met on another site.

I was looking for fun forums & He told me to check these out, they were
semi New & building favorably.
I'm shadow person so I've read many of these & deep in the
pages.
This has turned out to be home to me.

I Have gotten more than I wished for here in friends alone.
That is worth more than a few "dates"

I haven't seen you post in the forums, that is how you get yourself seen
and your personality noticed. If you sit back in the shadows and wait
for people to scan you is the search they may not notice you. You have
to make and effort and come out in the posts and make some replies to
the the posts that are going. It gives people some insight to who you
are, your personality, and they get used to you. It draws attention to
you and people will start to notice you that way.

You need to have some patience, 9 days is nothing. Relax and enjoy
yourself.

i've discovered than online is a great way to meet new people you would
have never met otherwise in your offline, day to day routine. i noticed
if you state your intentions up front and just kinda go with the flow
and be friendly, relationships seem to develop naturally whatever they
may be.

I've had lots of patience, and it has still gotten me no where. I'm on
many dating sites, and have actually had a few dates. Only 1 that I went
on a second date with, and trust me after the second date I realized it
just wasn't worth my time with him. I have had no dates from this site,
or even meetings. I have talked to 1 or 2 on the phone, chatted online
and such, but nothing more. So now I mostly just read the jokes, poems,
funny stories and such. Talking in the posts never even usualy turns out
well, so mostly I just don't even bother.

Alright, everyone, ya talked me into staying.........I guess I just
don't have much patience, and it's easy to get discouraged when it seems
as if MOST of the guys are just looking for a piece of ass. Hey, don't
get me wrong, I'm no prude, but can we not leave some things to the
imagination, and give us something to look forward to? I've had that
happen 3 diffrent times in the last 9 days by 3 guys on here, and on one
other website. Nonetheless, I want to thank each and every one of you
for responding. I will try to be in the forums more. Peace and love to
