So much negativity about the ads here, it makes me wonder what's REALLY going on behind the scenes....!

Hey, folks, ads for dating sites are going to have pictures of impossibly attractive people, because the people who run those sites believe we're all gullible enough to fall for the hype and sign up en masse!

Now let's prove them right.

It's no different from other types of advertising -- have you ever noticed that every ad for an Italian restaurant has a drawing of the SAME GUY in it --? -- Italian-looking guy (of course), chef's hat, luxuriant mustache, and he is either a.) making the OK sign with his thumb and finger, or b.) holding out a pizza for your inspection. Yes, I know what a pizza looks like.

But do you ever hear anyone complaining about that? No, you don't. Nobody ever says "That Italian restaurant ad should have a Lithuanian guy in a fireman's helmet holding up a donut." Honestly, have you ever heard anyone say that particular sentence before? I've only heard it twice in my whole life.

So let's think about this whole ad thing. Ads help keep this site free! Can't you put up with a few Gay Bears, a few Interracial Romances, a few Uzbekistani Beauties, a few Senior Herpetologists, that really cute Goth girl, whatever her name is, and so on, for the good of all of us who like the fact that this here place don't cost us nothin'?

Yeah, I have a vested interest in all this. I just want Summercusp to come back.

i wanted to join the gay bear one but the option was you had to be a man looking for a man and all i wanted to do was look darn it!! but didnt want to make a profile saying i was a man... i think the guys for the add there are hot looking!!!
