creek
of the plastic
wheels
stripped
leaving drawer
fall flat

scared silverware
abandons ship

spoons clang
forks hang

a steak knife
turns into
a scream

the neighbors
three doors down
scream
for another reason

moving nightly
to another
beat

in a way
I can only dream of
