I have a Golden Lab who turned two years old yesterday i threw her a
birthday party nothing big just took her and couple of friends to the
beach so they could run free for a few hours. My family thinks that i am
strange for spoiling my animals like that
Just curious if anyone else celebrates there pets birthday?

Yes, I have. I have 6 dogs and 4 cats. I celebrate even the holidays
with them. My children and my animals are my life! I talk to them and
treat them the way I would want others to treat me. Kindly and gentle.
They are great to have around.

I don't have any pets now, but I have always celebrated their birthdays
in the past. They're entitled to some gifts just as much as people are!

Absolutely! They get an extra toy or "piggie ear" if it's their
birthday. Well, if it's Dahlia's birthday, she and Kohl get treats. She
gets an extra treat, too. She eats both of her treats, then she steals
Kohl's from him and eats his. If it's his birthday, same thing. He's
gotten to where he immediately buries his pig ears and bones so he'll
have them for later.

My dogs are somewhat spoiled ...they have their own bedroom, even. They
are very smart (especially Dahlia) and very good companions. They've
shown me more love than most any human ever has.

They used to have a habit of "breaking out," so their aliases are
"Billie" and "The Kid."

My family always celebrated our dogs birthdays and gave them a small
party. They are the family members that you can always count on.

Yup, I do. I have a muffin and sing to my dogs on their birthdays. I
also buy them presents at Christmas.
My dogs seem to know when it is time. When they see the muffin (it is
the only time muffins are seen in the house)they get excited. And they
know whos turn it is when the name is called. My dogs are very well
taken care of. They see the Dr. more than me. One was supposed to have
surgery today, right leg elbow, but my finances caused a postponement.
But, we have doggy pain pills til then. They work. Now, my other Chi is
having a prob with his left leg. Jeesh.

I have 2 dogs, can't say I have birthday parties for them, but they are
more than a little bit spoiled. My little dog thinks if he sleeps is has
to be on my pillow next to my head. They listen to me and I believe they
understand a lot of what I say. Dogs are really good company.

I do I have a english bulldog and I treat him as if he was one of kids .
Brutus has his birthday presents and christmas presents just like the
kids do . He dresses up for holloween and goes trick or treating with us
. His dinner bowls are right next to the table (on the floor ) so he can
have dinner with us every night . He has is own lazy boy recliner, and
is very important part of our family .There is a picture of him on my
profile if any one wants to see him .
