Thanks for the dedication Miss Debbie, but these topics aren't about me, they are about everyone.

The sad part about this is that liars, phonies and so-called "friends" can/will break your heart whether intentional or not, it happens. When someone professs to be your "friend", it should mean all the time, not when it is convenient for them or when they need something. I have learned this the hard way and now I have closed my heart to people (meaning no one will ever get in it again) because of failures on the part of my "friends".

Why lie?

I used to do it all the time and I used these rationalizations....

1...lie to get laid.
2...lie to keep the peace..at least temporarily.
3...lie to spare someones feelings.
4...lie to make myself look like less of an idiot (there is an oxymoron for ya)

But, years pass as they tend to do....I have eventually figured out that BS accomplishes nothing.

At this point I find it much easier to just be flat out honest. However I still try to spare feelings when possible...I don't use lies though..I go off the precept of "Some things are better left unsaid"...

Good point, Krupa! That old adage about "if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all" does have it's place! Sometimes though, you have to say whatever it is and it will hurt people - so do it with as much love as possible, own what you've said and move on. The real art is learning when to open and when to shut your mouth to the best benefit of all concerned...

And yes Merle my show topics hopefully go out to the masses and will apply to many...And hopefully the people of this thread will give good realiable "Honest" answers at all time. And more important that stupid people learn from it...instead of it going in one ear and out the other.


For me,always I would never do anything in the first place to a friend that would compromise or hurt them in anyway. Again I think comes down to two things...Do unto others as you would like done unto you. And always always have your chicas backs....If I had a problem with anyone whether it a best friend or acquaintances, I would always go to that person with my beef....Never would I ever go behind someones back and talk trash that is not only chicken shi* but not a friend to begin with that could do it.

And what makes it worse is that the person who usually doesn't open their hearts to others for the fear of getting hurt....Put those damn walls right back up...Then the true friends have to try once again one brick at a time to take em down.....THINK PEOPLE BEFORE YOU ACT.....ALWAYS ASK YOURSELF HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF THAT WAS DONE TO YOU.



But know one thing Merle......from the bottom of my heart this chica will always have your back....and never talk smack unless done to your face, and never never ever lie to you......WHY
