I'm not the mushy type but this year i was dragged through the mud, lied to abused and thrown into quick sand just to list a few. it was hands down the hardest year i've lived. but... as i reflect n 2008, i realize that there is no better way to learn a lesson than living it. and that is why i want to reflect.. remember. and learn from 2008. I will reflect on the first time i held my nephew ethan.. big ole baby that he was... and the first time i held my new nephew zach... tiniest lil thing at 5lbs 7oz. i want to stop and think about what it was like.. a whole year by myself. on my own. living with a man. a whole year of pure and utter independence. now.. how would i do it differently... this coming year... i only want to trudge forward with my new life's lessons and hope that there is happiness.. true happiness in the road ahead. so what about you? what do you reflect on?

yeah i figured it was too mushy Its not too mushy. Not to sure what I am reflecting on. I had a terrible year too, but I see all that turning around, and my life is now being lived for the purpose of me being happy. Luckily I will be able to make others happy along the way.

its not bad hoping 2009 brings you much happiness and hope mines a little better i lost my mother this year also my oldest son at 33 lost both his kidneys and i pray he finds a donor in the year 2009 and god bless all the world who is having a hard life

its not bad hoping 2009 brings you much happiness and hope mines a little better i lost my mother this year also my oldest son at 33 lost both his kidneys and i pray he finds a donor in the year 2009 and god bless all the world who is having a hard life I am sorry. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

That's not too mushy. My year wasn't great,I found out a trusted friend wasn't a friend at all. I learned that other peoples opinion of me was a lot different than I thought it was. For the first time in a long time I got lonely. I can feel sorry for myself (and sometimes I do) but I don't have to look very far to see someone worse off than me. I have a friend who is a single mother. Her daily struggles in life make my problems seem small. 2009 is going to be a great year.

My consistent prayer in 2008 was that I be emptied. I got what I wanted so I shouldn't complain that it was the hardest year in 3 decades. Now, I'm optimistic about '09.

i'm so glad you are all so optimistic about 2009. after everything that's happened in 2008.. we can only strive for a better year :)
