I just joined a little more than a week ago. I haven't really met very many people here other than a few at my favorite watering hole, where I can have some stimulating conversations with over a couple of cold ones. Sure would like to meet some people just to hang with beachside.

I know what you mean! I've been on here for a week or so, and I've tried other online dating sites but have the same problem with each one - Location! There are some men I'd like to meet but apparently I live so far out that I may as well be in Tibet. I live in Lake County - almost dead center between the coasts and almost all the men online are on the coast or in Orlando. No one wants to drive over an hour to meet someone that may turn into a relationship. That would mean driving great distances even more often. A very good friend met someone online from another state. She flew up to meet him (risky), experienced the classic "love at first sight" and he moved down to Florida a few months later. They live together now...Maybe I should be looking for someone from Wyoming or something! haha

Watch yourself on that one. Been there, done that, burned the 't' shirt. Met someone online from Tenn through a mutual friend, brought her down for the 4th of July and ended up moving her in a month later. Turned out all she really wanted was a free ride to Fla. I have nobody to blame but myself for that, should have seen it coming.
