I talk to it like a stray old friend
coming across that old letter
Comes back to mimic again
the one that came from you

the one to you
I never sent and
kept it too

must've somehow made it's way
highest shelf to most treasures place
of home stash kept keeps

in deepest depths of
kept but unrecognized
in a box
not so readily but
seems to reach or find
its keeper

to seek anyway

now and every then still again

keeps to remind their rewind ways

knowing you so well now
those old days of older
while everything changed
all about change

unlike about the days of old
would it surprise you, then,
in such a way
I keep kept keeps?
as you know me
better even still
in these
changed changing of times that
get replaced when
as this old letter?
