I went to one when i threw my back out carrying too many haybales and for the amount of time it took him to make it better i think i would have healed either way.. he did sell me a tens unit that was helpful in relieving pain while driving and sitting in a chair...

I've had a chiro jump my bones many a times in the last 10 yrs. or so. In my job, I have done alot of lifting of disabled children...real hard on a 6 ft. frame. But the chiro has always helped me.

i go to a chiropractor almost every week 3 times a week for arthritis in both hips and in my lower back. if you go to one make sure they dont do what they call realigning. that is when they snap you and it hurts. i make them do heat packs and electric shark treaments low voltage it feels good and then they put me on a special table and stretch out my lower back and such at first you are more sore than when you went in but it does get better each time you go. the inflamation is so bad in my hips that i am on high doses of pain killers and it inflames my syatic nerve in both legs but after a coupld weeks of visits it really does give me more range of motion and stops the pain in the nerves. try it but get a good one that you are comfortable with and tell them you dont want adjustments you would like other therapy there are so many treaments they could do.
i have tried both and the snapping never helps me it make me more sore. hope this helps good luck to ya.
