Driving in my van with my 2 youngest daughters and Rock Star came on the radio and I started singing" I wanna be Rock Star and my youngest looked at me and said you are a rock star, and I told no I wasn't I just played in bar bands. Then she preceded to say to me " Well Dad you are a rock star to me" talk about bringing a tear to this old guy's eye. I still get misty just writing this.

That is so awesome ! Made my eye's wet...
That definately is the ultimate compliment, my friend.

when my mother told me that I was adopted! I was at the age of 22...

My real dad was killed in a motorcycle accident when I was 14 months old. My mom told me that my stepdad adopted me when they got married, but he was not my real dad. I was about 12 then, and it didn't freak me out at all. My stepdad Joe was awesome until he started gambling, but that was many years later...

Hearing my GF say she loves me was very nice, but she just dumped me last night, so I guess I should turn up the stereo now. frustrated
flowerforyou sorry Ill turn my music up tooflowerforyou

Thank you Miss Tina, I appreciate that...
It's ok, actually, i've been trying to encourage her to find someone better than me for some time now, but up till now she's been very resistant.
I really don't have anything to offer in a relationship except love and attention, so im not a good candidate anyway. I hope she finds a good man with a great job and a bright future. That the least she deserves... Im just sorry that I allowed her to keep it up for over a year. I tried to set her free on several ocassions, but she would have nothing to do with that, and im an old softy when the whining starts. lol
I think it's uphill from here for both of us...

Well, I only have a brother left, and we don't talk much. I wouldn't sweat the small stuff. As long as you have friends, they are your family.

When i was a kid, i got the chance to meet my hero. My mother took me out of school for no apparent reason at all an took me to her work. She worked at childrens hospital at the time, and low and behold while i was setting at her desk, Muhammad Ali walked around the corner, i was dumbfounded and shocked. After talking with him for 5-10 minutes, i was just in aww, and before he left he looked me in the eye and said "Kid, your gonna be great". Ill never ever forget it
