Will these atrocities ever go away? Or are they getting stronger?

Personally, I dont see the big fascination watching someone elses life. I also believe most of them are scripted and not "real".

Go to any channel, and I guarantee their will be some type of reality show, on any random topic.

Do Animal Cops, Mythbusters, and Dirty Jobs count as reality shows? They are the only things i watch on TV

I Love Reality TV! Discovery Channel, History Channel, Outdoor Channel, Animal Planet. Military Channel and Nat. Geo! I Watch these Regularly

There are a few that I like. Survivorman being one of them.

I'm mainly referring to the dumb reality shows dealing with fake drama, dating, family, marriage, couples, etc... VH1, MTV, Oxygen, etc...

Those dont really count. I like these channels too. They make us think and are educational.

How real can it be when you know your being film.

they're getting worse and worse by the day. they have one now where millionaires go around pretending to be poor to give away money to happy poor people. then those people ahave to be surprised when they do it.. as if the dudes with cameras don't tip them off that something strange is goin on ya know?

Reality tv sucks. I watch tv to escape reality not join it.

The absolute worst are "reality show stars"- just WHO in the heck coined THAT phrase to describe those attention whores desperately looking for their fifteen minutes of fame? The only thing memorable about them is the utter lack of shame in even bothering to subject themselves to those stupid shows.

And they even expect everyone else to know who they are, none the less. I have a hard-enough time giving a crap about the hundredth kid Angelina Jolie-Pitt-Whatever-the-heck-else-she-names-herself has popped out like so many tablets of Tums- just what "reality show stars" think I'm gonna know (or even CARE to know, for that matter) who THEY are?

Then again, the only REAL notoriety they get is when they end up hittin' the skids some weeks after their half-hour of glory. There's nothing funnier than seeing one of those idiots' faces plastered in a mugshot.
