What's wrong, Invisible? The curse of being reasonable and pragmatic. |

What's wrong, Invisible? The curse of being reasonable and pragmatic. Well, you could have the curse of being emotional and irrational, like me. |

Where my family is concerned I might be better off. I'm sorry. |

Where my family is concerned I might be better off. I'm sorry. Don't be sorry for me, I'm putting myself up there time and again, against better knowledge. I don't see why an old woman should be kept alive with medication and what not if all she wants is to die. Of her 3 daughters one wants to look after her and pamper her, but not for love of her mother but because of her own need to help. No 2 wants her in a nursing home near her own place. Not because she loves her mother so much, but because her husband thinks she would be able to influence her as far as her will is concerned. No 3 just wants it to be over for her as quick and easy as possible. I'm the one in the family that is considered reasonable, and each one thinks I will take her side, which I don't. I take No 3 anytime, and she is my mother, and I agree 100% with her, so I have to take the heat from the others. This is going on for neigh on 2 years, and every time granny is worse the same battles are fought, and it gets at me every time. |

That's a rough situation. I agree, if she wants to go she should be allowed to go.

My parents signed everything over to us a few years ago so there will be no squabble over who gets what after they die. Being pragmatic and practical in these cases is the best and most clearheaded thing you can do, because people will try to manipulate others with emotions and sympathy etc. Don't fall for it. |

Look up 4:20 on the internet... You will get it then!!!!!! Yo Way Yo... Nah, that's not for me, I'd rather get it over and done with it. 4:20 like anything else is not for everyone! For me it beats Ritalin hands down!!!!! Never outgrew being hyper. It sucks! But conversely going into an emotional situation "hot" is not good. Sometimes it is better to calm down and address the issue before facing it so that diplomacy can rule. Other times a situation must be addressed on the spot. Beats getting into a yelling match because those can get bad and escalate. On a side note I have found that "burning the peace pipe," in tense situations leads to dialogue. Remember the first Revenge of the Nerds movie and their first frat party? The guys and girls all sat around looking at each other nervously? Booger whips out a fat satch, next scene the music is playing and hormones are heating up! THATS LOVE! |
