does an american man have a chance to have a good time in gold coast? will anyone criticize him or will he fit right in until he speaks and you notice the different accent?

I've never heard of that place, so I can't give an accurate answer. Usually, people from other countries welcome Americans...or tourist really. Other countries that are stronger in military and have a strict government may shun Americans. But hey, I have no clue.

Are you talking about Australia? I'm sure you'll be fine.

Are you referring to Gold Coast of Queensland, Australia? If so, it looks like a really nice place to be. If anything, it looks like a place I would love to visit myself. I don't think people there will have problems with Americans. Report back to us with your experience if you go there.

My oldest daughter moved to New Zealand about 10 yrs. ago, but for the last 4 yrs. has lived in Queensland, Australia...she has picked up their accent. I haven't been there to visit her yet, but I am told the Aussie are a friendly bunch. You'll fit right in just fine.

Dude, you totally caught me off guard with that question. I was going to say something that had nothing to do with your question.

But to answer your question, I have no clue.

I think the Aussies are pretty friendly towards us for the most part.

I thought you meant Africa at first. Aussies are great. You'll do well there.
