I got into a "lively" discussion about staying up for New Years. He's in bed early...he says it's a drinking holiday & since he's sober, he has no interest.
I countered with saying that you don't have to drink to celebrate New Years...whatever happened to looking into eachother's eyes & saying "Happy New Years, Babe...I'm glad to be sharing the next year with you..."? Whether you are out partying or just watching the Ball drop on TV...does the New Year really have any significance to you? |

Wow! Am I the only romantic on this site? Would it not be romantic to have a quiet night in just you two then go to bed saying good night in each others arms and waking up to a new day and new year in those same arms? I must admit it is not much of a celebration except another reason to drink the night away... Folklore has it that whatever you are doing at the stroke of midnight on New Years eve is an indication of the rest of your year... so why not make the best of it with your little man there. |
