Definitely a lonely heart... take it from someone who's had a broken heart.
At least a broken heart has fond memories from before it was broken. |

I think it is probably better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. I agree Jill *hug* |

But would that person want you to beat yourself up over it or would they want you to remember the good times and look to the future? I know what mine would say if she was still here. |

At this point, I honestly cannot say. You see, I have a broken heart now, but I have had a lonely heart my whole life. So each time I have a broken heart, not only does it bring back all the pain from past endings, it also reminds me that I have never had basic love, nurturing, and attention - just because I exist. Ever.

I think a broken heart is worse because a lonely heart is in need and constantly longs for a new relationship as a broken heart deteriorates people making them less sociable, filled of anxiety and depression and bad feelings. Resentment is really the word I'm looking for.

What’s worse: A lonely heart (to never experience love) or a broken heart (to experience love but then lose it unexpectantly)? [/quote I think willy the shake answered that question a couple of hundred years ago. The truth is proably one is just as bad as the other. |

What’s worse: A lonely heart (to never experience love) or a broken heart (to experience love but then lose it unexpectantly)? The broken heart is worse, at least in this case. You see, if you never experience love, you can't have a broken heart. The longing the loneliness it won't be there, it can't be you haven't had that heart filled completely, so you won't realize it's empty. Broken hearts hurt, and can never be completely repaired, you left a piece with whomever broke it. |

Getting your heart broken is part of LIFE. It's also an experience you NEED to grow. Having a lonely heart sucks, and is the same as not trying in my book. If you're not loving, you're not living.

Hands Down, a lonely heart.
It is better to have loved and lost than to not have loved at all!!! It is the same as being the starving child looking in a window to a sumptuous feat and not being invited to eat. At least having fallen out of love you got a taste of the food! What is the worst thing of all? LONELINESS!!! |

I prefer to have my heart ripped out of my chest and stomped on in a most brutal fashion.

What’s worse: A lonely heart (to never experience love) or a broken heart (to experience love but then lose it unexpectantly)? I honestly believe the lonely heart that has never experienced love. I know when my husband passed away many years ago. I thought I would curl up and die. As time passed I have many precious memories to remember and remindme of him. I couldn't fathom not to have the courage to take the chance of loving. I would always rather to love and lose than never love at all. |
