My Two Rules of Trust: 1.) Never trust anyone you meet from a dating site. 2.) Never trust anyone you meet from anywhere else. I am with Lex... Somestime I can't even trust my self |

hi,i met someone on here about 4 months ago he works in different parts of the world,he came home on monday and im supposed to be meeting him on saturday but he hasnt been in touch with me since getting back.am i being taken for an idiot?i like him and thought he liked me,but i clearly thought wrong.i dont feel i can trust him now! Like a few men I've known, he very likely has a girl in every stop he makes, whether in the states or other countries. Some people believe....and literally practice "out of site, out of mind". Maybe he met the next flavor of the month or year. Do not blame yourself! Its NOT about you. He's the idiot. Of course, I could be completely off the mark, but I wouldn't trust so quickly if I were you. Love & Light~ |

Actually, I'm just waiting for the one who can see through the haze and discern the perfect jewel that hides within. Or something. Ask Lilith, she refers to me as a "teddy bear." How she figured it out, I'll never know.... |

"trust" is like lending money to relatives. Never invest more than you're willing to lose.
I trust my mechanic. I know from past experience that he's adept and wants my return business. I trust my horse. His nature is to please me as long as I treat him with dignity and care. I DON'T trust my next door nieghbor's Rottwieler. Even though he's never jumped the fence to come after me, he still has a certain glint in his eye that says "yeah...I could have fun tearing him a new one" Trust is easy, if you can determine what the other party honestly wants. they'll do what's needed to get it 100% of the time. My philosophy is to be quick to offer it, but be quicker to snatch it back. Good luck. I hope it works out the way you want... |

LDRs can be brutal. Even if he was telling the truth, do you really want to date someone you only get to see a few days a year?
I tried dating someone who was going to be living out of the country for a couple years. She is a really amazing person, but it was difficult to maintain the right level of communication for months on end. It is not impossible to make it work, but it is much more difficult when you are so far apart. |
