I usually wait for them to say it first; and, then, I only say it if I really mean it.

When she is the first thing i think about when i wake up or the last thing before falling asleep.

When i think it's her every time the phone rings.

When my heart pounds like crazy when i open the door and she's there.

When i think of her and i sweat all over.

When even if she as a bad cold & coughs like crazy and you still want to go and give her a big passionate kiss and swallow all those germs of hers.

When a day without her feels like an eternity.

when you look at her and instead of thinking "wow nice racks" you think "she such a beautiful soul".

I doubt I will ever say those words again to a man.

I doubt I will ever say those words again to a man.

We do not have to expect that we ever will. That is the cold, hard truth.

At the same time, its not fair to close ourselves off to the possibilities. That would be disrupting the path of our growth, the future, as it may be. What we say today affects what manifests. Its not fair to another human being that might have been destined to be with us, or not - either.

We risk falling again, but we also risk missing out on what can be rightfully ours to share if we close that door forever and say "no".

Near as I can tell, it is never the right time to tell a woman "I love you." Nothing will drive her away faster than those three words. Nope, if your a man, you can't ever say those words, you can show that you do, you just can't say it.

I have two basic conditions before I'd actually say "I love you". First, I must believe it myself. Second, I must feel she'd appreciate it fully.

Not all women are like that.

In my experience, that couldn't be farther from the truth. YMMV. flowerforyou

I say it when I mean it but they don't hear it for quite sometime. I'm a good whisperer.

I wish I would have had the same experiences, but then, if I had, we wouldn't have had the opportunity to have this conversation would we?

I've never had the pleasure of seeing someones eyes light up when I uttered those three little words, I don't have a concept of it happening. Mostly what I've gotten is "Oh God, NO!" or "Okaaaayyy, thanks." or "That's nice" The shear look of terror in their eyes is usually another response, or at least in co-operation with a negative response. Funny thing is, I still haven't given up hope that one day, I'll get to say it to someone who'll actually say "Really??? I love you too!!!"

(Consider me a texting newbie, I have no idea what YMMV means)

Why do people say that I will only say "I love you" if I think the other will say it back.

Ain't it our feelings we are sayings when does words come out and yes we all hope the other will feel the same but why be afraid of your own feelings if you love someone just say it don't expect any response just say it because you love them ain't that reasons enough to say it.

Why is loving someone only good if someone loves you back there are a couple of woman out there that I love to death but they do not have the same feeling for me and that is ok it did hurt at the beginning but that doesn't make me stop loving them just made me move on knowing they will never have those feeling for me.

I'm shocked by some of those responses, but I may have gotten one of them once.

When to say "I love you" is an easy question.
To answer it, let me quote what my wish for every woman is:

"May you find the man who is wise enough to know how you enhance his life; brave enough to show & tell you he loves you daily; and strong enough to stay and hold you until you are done crying!"

I am that man to the love of my life Catherine, so saying "I love you" was renewed with each new connection we make in our relationship.

Hope this helped!

Really? Shocked? Those were some of the more mild things I've heard. Am I the only one that gets treated like this?

Thanks for the definition.

Nope didn't help at all. I feel the quote is a good one, and men should definately pay as close of attention to it as women, but as far as answering the question, it was no help, but thanks for playing!!

Oh, well, I guess both Thanks (because misery loves company) and Sorry (because no one should be treated like that).
