The soundtrack of:
THE LAST PICTURE SHOW (1971)

As a backdrop, it featured a lot of the great country music that was around in 1951 and 1952 as well as a few pop tunes - and most of the times when a jukebox or radio was playing, it was Hank Williams singing.

Damn straight. There's that Siamese Cat song...sounds like something Tom Waits would do. Good stuff.

I won't call you a geek for thinkin' that about the Disney soundtracks.....you've got a VERY good point, there......

You just made me remember what a great soundtrack "Beauty and the Beast" had - I took my son to see it in 1991 when he was 4; not only was it cute seeing him enjoy the music - I'm still stuck by how great the music was in that movie.

And the songs Julie Andrews sang in "Mary Poppins" and "The Sound Of Music" have been playing on & off in my head since I was a little kid.....

Thanks for making me recall that stuff...drinker

The entire soundtrack from the TV series, "Supernatural".

All completely ass-kickin' classic rock!

For movies, "Dazed And Confused" soundtrack.
