From that misty time
when our brows retracted,
when our brains became intact….
never again
would human nature change…
With progressive tools of genius,
but still the morals of beasts,
we continue to deceive
and remain deceived
in utter darkness.

“Where is God?” Nietzsche cried,
“Are we all his murderers?
How can this be?”
When was God exiled
to now exist outside nature
and ourselves –
and yet remain created
in our own apelike image?
Could the roaches’ God
remain so aloof…
and still resemble a roach?

Yae, if no God exists,
then only we are gods –
but dying gods,
with no immortal souls….
Or will we someday know
something within our souls,
not hominoid like ourselves,
but a shining Beacon
to our true Source
in life’s infinite Mystery….
