Topic: I love you....BUT | |

I love you, but it's me, not you.
What are some of the "buts" that you have heard in your life time, if any? This could be interesting, if not funny. |

Religion & my daughter, won't let me do this anymore.
We are still good friends & that is what counts. |

I've heard this one at 2:00 am...
"You don't have to go home, BUT...you can't stay here!" |
|
|
|

My husband uses that line... "It's me, not you" and for the life of me I
don't understand where he is coming from. There is no I LOVE YOU but connected to it. He uses this line when I'm discussing the lack of intimacy. |

Oh my gosh. This was my ex-boyfriend. (laughs) "Destinee, I love you.
You know that. I love women, but I also love men. But, I'm not gay. I'm bi. But, I prefer to have sex with men. Do you understand?" The whole time I'm thinking to myself. "No, I DON'T understand!!! And buddy, you're gay." lol P.S. I'm not homophobic in any way |

Aside from the "it's not you it's me" thing...
I've heard "I love you, but I'm not IN love with you." (As an excuse to cheat.) Or "I don't know what I want." (Yes he does; he wants his cake and eat it, too.) Or, "You're too good for me." (You're right; I am). |

Jeanc, you are too funny! (...I am too good for you!) lol

I love you but I'd like to start my own savings account so I can buy you
presents. I said no and then we began getting notices for a $5000 tool box that he suddenly couldn't make the payments on. They took back the tool box. |

Her: I love you, but (insert long list of inadequacies here)
Me: So, what you're saying is you don't love me. Her: No! I do love you. But (insert another long list of different inadequacies here) Me: How long are we going to do this? |
|
|
|
So my saying is... I love you, but WHERE is the love here?
|
|
|

I love you, but I have to find myself..........yeah right find yourself
after 13 years |

It's me - it's not you:
What they're really saying is that it's their fault for picking you. Would'nt it be great if they just said what they really meant instead? So many just seem so afraid of saying what they really feel. I like you, but I want to see other people, no not somebody else, just everybody else. I want to sleep with your friends next. I just want to be alone for awhile (so my ex boyfriend/grilfriend can come over). You're smothering me (when they are the one that constantly just has to be with you). It just does'nt feel the same anymore (Hello! the rush of sleeping with somebody new is over). I think we need some time away (So I can find somebody else). Honesty is the greatest gift LOL |
