i stretch out my arms
close my eyes and yawn a little
open my eyes again
midday summer, it's so warm
no one around to humor me
sometimes we're chained by being free
but the glorious day
overcomes the feeling of lonliness
take my lunch on my front porch and make
lazy plans for the afternoon
go for a walk in the metroparks
maybe stop for a while
sit on a bench by the river
take in a book, take a nap
take my time, no real plans
and wish the warmth would never end
slight breeze on my face
just a touch of humidity
i yawn again, and i think about
how i sometimes can do
with or without

'take me away Calgon',..
