I joined mingle 2 just about 1 month ago, I want to first say thanks for a good experience so far. My question has to do with email responses, actually the lack of...Although I have written several members, I have received no replies. I can't be sure if there is a technical issue or if the recipients are just not interested. How can I be sure the emails send were received?

There's really no way of knowing. You can send me a message and I'll reply back to test it. But that's all I can think of.

Post a pic...most won't answer an email without a pic...we like to see who we are talking to...hope this helps. You can also go to mail and then click on sent, if there is a check mark beside the mail you sent, it means it has been read

check the "sent" box under your email..if a green check is beside the ones you sent they have been read. As for email responses, I might get a response from one in ten or even less than that. Most ppl that you email evidently don't respond very often, or don't know how to type one...lol...and I am as guilty as the rest, I suppose

maybe if you put your picture up,,,,,,may getting back some responses

if you check your sent messages it tells you if they have read it

Maybe he's having issues recieving messages. Doubtful, but ya never know.

My thanks to such quick responses....I too thought my lack of having a picture up would be a cause, but I would have seen members who viewed me...(although I agree I should post a pic) I do agree that perhaps my emails were going out, but I can't be sure I am recieving responses. I kept my emails friendly and simple, this is the first site where I didn't recieve anything. And I did check my setting to make sure I was not filtering too much...

There are many reasons a person may not reply. Some of these members are very popular, and receive a lot of emails.

Here are a few tips...

If you have never corresponded with the person, and the email contained any links,profanity, email addresses, or a string of numbers that could be a phone number, then it will not go through. This is a filtered system, and these things can be considered spam.

The person you mailed, may simply have not logged in for a while.

The only way to know, if a person has read your sent mail, is to click on mail, click sent, if there is no check mark on the mail, then it either was caught in filters, or the person has not opened it.

If the mail was read, it will be indicated, if there was no response, then that is up to the recipient. As mentioned above though, profiles with no pictures, get only a fraction of responses of those that do.

Thanks Mark....I put a picture in, believe it or not two people viewed me already..I may take justinc up on his offer, see if he can reply back to my email...
