I also won't date a guy again that is rude to the server or doesn't want to leave a big tip... If I need to I put more than my share in for the tip....

Neither will I. And I've never been in the situation, but yes I would put more money down too.

I don't always leave a big tip. I usually leave about a 25% tip however if a server doesn't do what I ask them to do like I don't know I order coffee they bring me 2 creamers I ask for another creamer and they don't come back when they do come back with the 3rd creamer if they remember my coffee is cold=not a good tip.

Food quality has nothing to do with the server this doesn't diminish the tip. Getting my order wrong could diminish the tip depending on what is wrong with the order... If it's the cooks fault I keep the tip the same. If it's the servers fault lower tip. People shouldn't be rewarded for their mistakes, that is my belief.

People shouldn't be rewarded for their mistakes,

That should go for ALL things in life, not just foodservice.

I gotta say, working at Walmart, the policy "The customer is always right", is the #1 policy that I hate. The BS that we have to put up with, the disrespect, and rudeness that we have to put up with is unbelievable! I totally agree that this policy has given a lot of people the belief that they have the right to be as mean as they want to be. I think the policy is a load of crap!

I also take into consideration how long I sit at their table... If I am just ordering coffee to sit and work on homework..but Ill be there an hour *or more and they keep refilling.. Ill pay $2 for the coffee but still leave a $5 tip...
I HATE when my drink is empty while Im eating..
