Is there a catch to those gift cards you get in Spam emails? I mean
the $500 kind..

Yes, I was bored one night and I thought I'd see what it was all about.
There is a survey, where you have to answer 40 billion questions, then
you have to sign up to receive all sorts of offers from every company in
the world, past, present, and future, and agree to "take advantage" of
so many of these "offers" within a year or something. Plus they will
now send you 100 spam e-mails every day (I got all kinds of spam for
mortgages and home loans, even though I am not a homeowner!)

It will cost you far more than the alleged "gift card" is worth if you
actually go through with it.

Bottom line is it's a scam and the people who send these out are just
worthless idiots.
