Same here. I was just crying about this a short while ago. All I have ever needed is the companionship. I believed he did, too. Genuine caring, contact, a loving hug, or to be held. Touch is a basic human need, one that we cannot fulfill through the internet. And sex just doesn't cut it either, when it comes to the need for this kind of touch.

We needed that. Our inner children recognized and found joy and belonging in each other. I am sorry that all the baggage of the years that followed prevented us from growing into people that could have actualized that warmth, affection, caring, and love. It could have been beautiful between us. It makes me very sad.
