Just an update for all those that care(i.e nobody, except a few that pretend!)

First i thought i had the flu, then i was told it could be Hepatitis(when i turned yellow), then in hospital they diagnosed it as Glandular Fever(Mono). But now they are telling me they think i have had Hepatits E instead.

A normal Liver Function tests at between 0-41, mine went over 600(which sounds pretty high to me!).

Im back to work tonight for the first time since i got ill and i feel like im over it all. My liver is testing at around 100 now, so im almost there.

Thanks! I read that the fatality rate of it is 4% (globally anyway, normally people get Hep E in the developing world). If i was pregnant this would have risen to 20%.

I feel like i have it back already, but i have done nothing for the last 6 weeks! This week back at work will tell me a lot. I have a nice 60 hour week to ease me back into it.

Is that test for ALT levels? I found a very good book for helping the liver, as I have an issue myself, I'd recommend it but I doubt you'd enjoy the healthy living! Glad to hear you're back on your feet though, 60 hour week is a NICE easy transition back to work! lol

Hey Dan...I am really sad to hear that you have a flu...but don't be afarid you will not die...

Actually many people do die of the flu every year. My 36 year old husband was one.

It is that time of year and you think you are getting the flu go see your Doctor. THey can help you from some of the dangerous side effects and help prevent complications that are very common.

Hope you are well by the time you read this.
