Topic: Dating a person without anything in common | |
---|---|
I had a sweet women the other day ask me to have lunch with her so I did but found out we have little in common. We had a good time but I don't see a future for us but she said she does im wondering what's a nice way to tell her without hurting her feelings. My last relationship fizzled because we had little in common and it's happening again. Any advice thank you everyone it would be appreciated. When relationships start without a solid and time-tested foundation of trust, respect, and friendship, the discovery of mutual values, ethics, platonic interests, life goals, and outlook, they are eventually doomed to failure, whether that takes two months or 20 years. |

Sooner or later, it'll fall apart if you are looking for something long lasting. Relationships based solely on sex, no matter how excellent, will eventually fail. Prioritize.

The only reason this is tough is due to her feeling that their is a "future" their for the two of you, and you not feeling the same. Now, the positive thing here is that you realize how you feel. All you have to say is that you do not see the same "future" as she does. You don't need to be rude about it, nor overly sympathetic. You two just met, and really all that need be said is how you feel. Ask her for a friendship, if possible, and just tell her that you were not feeling any connection like she felt. These things happen man.
