The real beauty comes from the heart and soul. even as we age, our beauty and youth fade, but our hearts and souls remain the same.

And some people will never realize it until they have met and lost one who possesses this inner beauty.

Others, with the help of grace, will only know what is missing within themselves after having experienced such a person in their lives.

and what a world it would be if we were to all experience these kind of folks and decided to do uonto others as you would have them do unto you?!!

Do Unto others as you would have them to unto you!

We, as adults, have the ability to understand those words Woody, so for me, adults who "bully" have a need to constantly put others down simply to cover their own feelings of inadequacy. What, again, IMO, that makes it even more unacceptable, ADULTS can examine themselves to understand the why of their behavior and change, if change is warranted. Most simply choose not to change because being a "bully" gives them a false sense of power and/or control. Life isn't always fair, so, regardless of all the help afforded us, there will always unfairness.

self examination is something few people seem to do and yet, they complain about shortcomings in their own lives. Always blaming others and condemming. it is so simply stated in this...."if you keep doing what you have always done, you will always get what you got". again, my opinion.

When you were a kid in school, I am sure you witnessed, or maybe even a part of, acts of mean, hurtful comments to others in an attempt to make yourself "better" than someone else. There were ugly kids, fat kids, dumb kids, kids with glasses,
or even those who did not have that "million dollar smile". I was always one of those in the last group. So many hurtful comments through school. Thankfully, school ended and so did those childish antics of those "bullies". My hope was that they would grow up, realize what wrongs they have committed to others who were less fortunate than they were. By becoming an adult. It is sad to know that, at 44 years of age, those "kids" never grew up, or at least not all of them did. What kind of life will YOU teach YOUR children? To be mean and hurtful throughout their lives, or be thankful for the blessings that they have recieved. Not just from you as their parent, but also those granted by GOD HIMSELF??? We, as the picked on group, were fortunate to learn forgiveness and be oh so thankful for what we ARE blessed with. At some point in your life, you need to look in the "MIRROR" and realize that what you did and what you do in adult life, actually points out the fact that you are LESS THAN all those you hurt throughout your life. I am not ashamed of anything I have done or said and I will sleep well at night knowing that fact. But, honestly, Will you ever be able to do the same?????????

I agree with you. It seems some people are afraid to admit their own shortcomings so they try to project them onto other people. Some even know deep down inside they have a problem, almost like an addiction, but for whatever reason, they won't seek help.

And we know our blustering and sharing of our pain and outrage gets us no where, for these types generally have little, if any empathy for others; no conscience. I wouldn't be surprised if in their immaturity they even snickered or giggled a bit at a thread like this. Such is the nature of the human condition. All human beings have a light side and a shadow side. Some have one in excess of the other. To deny that this shadow side exists is to risk much in life.
