Guess you better start participating eh?
Seriously, if you believe an armed take over of the federal government is what people should do...well let's just say I don't think you've thought this through. Take a look at how well it's worked out elsewhere. |

You have a right to recall an elected official. See the Secretary of State in your state for the legal requirements for a recall petition effort and go from there. Not only that, but you have the right to vote them out of office. I personally do not know as much as I should, and I am slowly working to fix that, but I believe the LONGEST elected office (between election) is eight years, or four. No matter what it is, if you do not like the job thatsomeone is doing, get out htere and vote to remove them. And remember, just because yuo may not like someone, if enough people DO like them, they are going to remain in office n matter what you do or do not agree with. |

Seriously, if you believe an armed take over of the federal government is what people should do...well let's just say I don't think you've thought this through. Take a look at how well it's worked out elsewhere. No, no, no, violence is archaiac and usless. Mohandes Ghandis idea of ahimsa and practiced through his satyagraha is a great way to live your life, in my opinion. To make it a little clearer, Heres a quote from Leo Tolstoy; “ If only each King, Emperor, and President understood that his work of directing armies is not an honourable and important duty, as his flatterers persuade him it is, but a bad and shameful act of preparation for murder – and if each private individual understood that the payment of taxes wherewith to hire and equip soldiers, and, above all, army-service itself, are not matters of indifference, but are bad and shameful actions by which he not only permits but participates in murder – then this power of Emperors, Kings, and Presidents, which now arouses our indignation… would disappear of itself". ---Leo Tolstoy Take a look at the Egyptian Revolution of 1919, Its a real good example of what the idea can do |
