Hey everyone! my name is Mat. i love writing, and most the things i write are inspired by the music i listen to or the events and happenings in my life. so heres some of the writings ive written in the past few months.


Once upon a time, a ship sailed to sea
the ship had a captain, the captain was me
I followed the currents, while i was young
but when i was older, i broke towards the sun
I sailed the high seas, and followed the maps
marking my course to know where im at
sometime i ago i got lost in the sea
i never worried cause i thought i knew me
but the farther i went, the more i paid
i thought i knew me til their came a day
when i stood on the shores while my life sailed away

sometime its so hard to be me that i have to stare into the mirror to see if im still there, or will i see what i've become? You will never know who you are going to be..its not because life is too short...or even too long...its because we never know how long it will be...and we never will. so we can only hope to be what we want to become, and plan for that. but we could never promise ourselves to be who we are. ~Matthew David Van Schmidt

...they say that lives are built on the relationships in your life..such as friends and neighbors and everyone you've ever met...ive met so many friends in my life who i either never saw again or hardly ever saw..or they were just backstabbers..so all the relationships that ive had were all unstable..or dishonest..my castle is my life..idk where i am or what i am supposed to do.. a life is more like a castle then anything else..cause u make ur own life by wut u choose to do and u rule ur life like a king rules his castle.and the longer uve lived the larger ur castle..and those who have a good life know there way around and wont get lost in their same mistakes they've made before..where as i have no way of knowing wut ive done wrong..therefore i cant find my way through my own castle that ive built for myself...
