Eyes of a Child
Walking along In a world of adults. Seeing with a different Level of focus. Some times lightening quick; Some times zoned in with the eyes of a detective. We not only see with our eyes. We have whole-body perception. We react whole heartedly To our every senses detection. Join us, won’t you, In our open-minded perspective. Life is an adventure, Not the same old drudge. Life is for living and learning, Not for holding a grudge. Some of us are brazen and bold Some of us are meek and mild. We’re here to grow; not fill a mold. Come, learn with us - and use your Eyes of a Child. This was inspired by a couple of little boys. One was very intrigued by a black panther face with green eyes on my T-shirt. His initial greeting to my shirt was several “meows”. Then he realized it was not a house cat on my shirt, but a panther and he adjusted his greeting to growls and snarls and claw actions with his hands. My other muse was VERY excited to be riding the city bus with his grandmother. This child’s excitement was so infectious a ho-hum, get from point A to point B bus ride truly became a vast and grand adventure. |
