Topic: airbrushed Jessica Alba | |

It is a sad commentary on society when you realize that even Jessica Alba is not hot enough to go un-airbrushed.
Check out the before and after pics. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/12/08/jessica-alba-airbrushed-t_n_149182.html |

Gotta make that waist smaller and take a bit off the legs. It's icky and horrible for the girls these days.

I saw this yesterday...it is obviously two different pictures.
the angle of her hair is different from one to the next she is looking at the camera in the second shot and away from it in the first and the backgrounds are totally different |

So what?.....Would any of us want our photo posted on the internet or even locally without making it look better if we could?????. If your answer is "No"...then you are a liar.

The first picture, in my opinion, wasn't unflattering - that's what bugs me (as little as I care ) - it didn't need to be photoshopped at all, she looked fine in the first one.

Her body is changed. The backgrounds are often changed when they take pics. The bottom line is that they changed her body dramatically. |

I think you probably do not understand the impact this kind of thing has on women and girls and their body image and their self esteem. Jessica Alba is already a very beautiful woman. She didn't need any changing. |

Of course, we all know this is common practice. It's just very frustrating for me as a woman and as a mother trying to raise two daughters. If the models have to be airbrushed and "fixed" what chance do I stand? And, what chance do my daughters stand to develop a healthy body image?

I understand that they clean up professional photos but look at her eyes in both pics. In one she is looking at the camera and in the other she is looking away. They are two different pictures. youtube isn't working for me right now but this is an excellent video that I think any young woman should see... it really puts the ideals of Hollywood into perspective http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHqzlxGGJFo |

I'm not suggesting they are the same photo. It is obvious from her hair alone that they are different shots. What I'm saying is that it is the same photo shoot. She didn't miraculously lose weight between the time the two shots were taken. Her body has been altered in the final shot they used. I'm sure they took hundreds of photos during that shoot. |

It looks like the white suit on a darker background makes her look more thin, whereas the first is blurry white on white. There is something awry with the angle of her belt and her hips just below the belt though, I'll give you that. |

I have Photoshopped a certain Page#'s girls for the past 8 years (up until a couple years ago when it's not my dept now).. and you know what.. I never thought about why.. if she has an enormous amount of freckles on her chest.. I take them off.. if she has undereye circles.. i brighten them up.. I dont care, If I think she would look better with highlights on her breasts, I put them there.... They are put there to get a man's attention... is it right? doesnt matter to me.. turn the page... |

Her right knee is showing in the right hand pic
It is not in the left hand pic. Just because it is on the Internet doesn't mean it is true... I would question the credibility of the Huffington Post site... it looks like a cheesy rag like the National Enquirer, etc... |
