Listen, if this dink wants to give you a present, smile and say, "Thank You". But it doesn't change the past. I mean, if it turns out to be a fruit cake or something by all means ship it back to him (or chuck it at him), but why not accept it if it's something not-sucky? After all, he's already bought it (or stolen it). If you don't take it he's going to re-gift it to someone else, and possibly dupe them into getting them stranded somewhere. Do you really want to be responsible for that??? :) Think of it as a tiny bit of compensation.

Do not accept. Do not contact. Do not initiate contact. Let it go. I don't wanna hear about it here later. Drama. No thanks.

keep the present, beggers can't be choosers, if he left you stranded take the present and don't give him anything in return. just say thank you

yeah I think I would take it and consider it payback for leaving you stranded. unless it's a one way ticket to Mexico

but for damn sure, you know how he is now, so don't let him sweet talk you into anything

Ohhhh hell keep the gift say thank you & see ya!!!

If the gift is a good one keep it if not then do what ever with it heck you could always leave it in in the next town and text him back and tell him to meet you at a certain place where you left the gift with a note on it

Awwwwwwwwww I'm so sorry you had to travel all this way for nothing how does it feel?bigsmile devil
I LOVE it! I should do it at the exact location where he left me stranded. laugh laugh

Take the high road and say "no thank you" and refuse the gift.

This guy I have not spoken to since August calls me up yesterday, say that he got me something for me for Christmas. This is a guy that left me stranded two cities away!

What would you do? Forgive and forget? Or send it back to him when he drops it off at my work?

i'd ask him if it were an annual membership to CAA so you could have 24-hour roadside assistance. and then i'd hang up on him.
