A FRIEND OF MINE JUST GOT DIAGNOSED WITH MS. FROM THE LOOKS OF HIS MRI'S ETC, HE'S HAD IT FOR A LONG TIME. ITS JUST A LOT WORSE AND MADE HIM TO GO TO THE DR TO FIND OUT WHAT IS GOING ON.

LONG STORY SHORT...HE HASN'T BEEN ABLE TO WORK SINCE JULY. HIS ROOMMATE JUST TOLD HIM TONIGHT THAT HE IS MOVING TOMORROW. RENT WAS DUE FRIDAY, AND THE ROOMMATE HASN'T PAID BILLS EITHER.

HE'S NOT ABLE TO WORK RIGHT NOW. TRYING TO GET ON MEDICINE TO SEE IF THAT WILL HELP HIM SO HE CAN WORK PART TIME. HE'S TRYING TO GET ON DISABILITY.

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE HE CAN GO TO GET HELP?????

HE'S GETTING ASSISTANCE, BUT ITS ONLY 120 A MONTH, AND HE'S ON FOODSTAMPS. HAS NO FAMILY HERE. AND HIS BROTHER REALLY DOESN'T WANT TO HELP HIM OUT.

sense he has ms he should be automactly able to get a medical card to cover for his meds.

he needs to check this out and it might also rush his disabilty for social security

The Red Cross may be able to help with a few bills too.

He could try the obvious ones like the Red Cross, Salvation Army, different churches, etc., they may help a little bit but I am sure they are being asked for help by a lot of people right now. Don't know if you have a community action program, our town even has cabins that they allow people to live in rent free for 90 days while they find a place to live, etc. I would call all the programs you can find. Even contact radio stations, some of them are doing promotions to help out people in need for Christmas. Just an idea. Hope he finds some help. Take care.

he is on one program that is Medi-Kan, until he can get on medicaid. they have a 3 mo waiting period before they approve just incase he gets better...
