christmas carol? I remember as a kid people would go around to houses in the neighborhood and sing christmas carols outside... But I haven't heard or seen it being done in years.

Despite the fact that we are all adults now, my Mom still makes us all bundle up on Christmas Eve in the middle of our family get together to go caroling at the homes of several shut-ins. We all grumble about it, but wouldn't have it any other way.

I live right by a church, and they do it every year. When they are done they give you candy and a pamphlet to their church. Like an advertisement thing I guess.
